Sorceress of the Dawn

By Bobbi Sinha-Morey

In the light
of the morning
sun sorceress
sprinkles the
ground with
pure eiderdown
where swans turn
to snow, nixies
glow and white
roses grow from
the milk of a
stone purloined
from Arapaho's
home. Pressing
amulet of amethyst
against her breast
closing her eyes
to self-induce rest
she soon slips into
a dream... lost inside
a kaleidoscope of
stained glass colors
a speck of violet
forever spinning.
