September 1, 2000

Long time, no write.

As of today, the September reading period is officially I will be reviewing fiction, folktales, artwork and recordings throughout the month; expect responses to submissions no later than the first or second week of October.

I'd also like to welcome Lloyd Michael Lohr aboard as the editor of the new Poetry section which will debut this quarter. You may have seen Lloyd's own impressive fiction and poetry in various zines and you'll get a chance to sample his work here later this month.

We will be adding banner ads to the site to generate revenue (no pop-up windows, though, so hopefully it won't be too intrusive). If you would be interested in purchasing ad space, information is available on the Sponsorship page.

The Discussion Forum is less active than I'd hoped, but it is there, folks!

I've been relatively busy with my other project, Silver Lake Publishing (yes, that is a shameless plug). One of SLP's releases will be Nemeton, an anthology including work by Fables authors Dave Bowlin, Terry Bramlett, Jason Brannon, Alan Bruce, Stephen Crane Davidson, Kate Hill, Stuart Jaffe, Shawn James, Lloyd Michael Lohr, Lawrence Miller, Nora M. Mulligan, David Randall, Stephen D. Rogers, Bill Vernon and yours truly. Join the mailing list to register to win a free copy.

I haven't posted numbers for a while (and in fact didn't get the full June totals), but here are the hits:

August numbers:

Total Hits 55,344
Total Page Hits 11,395
Unique Visitors 2,202
Average Daily Visitors 132.97

July numbers:

Total Hits 49,756
Total Page Hits 10,523
Unique Visitors 2,010
Average Daily Visitors 137.74

June Average Daily Visitors: 150.77

The Autumn Issue will be online September 22.
