January 8, 2000:

Happy new year!

Items from the Winter Issue are in the Great Hall, Crown & Thistle, and Commentary sections; or you can just click on the link below. Voting is still going on in Eternity's Zine Awards and the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll. You can vote for Fables as a zine, or for our stories, authors and commentary, or even for the amazing editor. (We'll forgive you even if you vote for someone else.) David Randall's Jenny the Sew and the Elf Prince is still in the running in the Eternity contest.

Over the next few days, I'll be cleaning out my inbox, and responding to all submissions I've received to date. So if you sent in a story, and haven't heard from me by Tuesday, send the story in again. (I don't think our server ate anything, but there's always the chance I moved something to a truly illogical folder at 3 A.M., in which case it's gone, gone forever....) I've been very pleased with the quality and quantity of submissions. (The downside being, of course, that some stories I'd otherwise like to publish will get squeezed out, which is unfortunate.)

I'd also like to declareseason on the Commentary section. If you'd like something reviewed, e-mail it to me (or send hardcopy to the address on the submissions page). Depending on volume (and other unforeseen circumstances), I can't guarantee that we'll be able to review everything, but we'll give it a go.

Megan
